MISS PEREGRINE’S CLOSET FOR PECULIAR FASHION

I love fashion (as if you didn’t already know), but I also love books. Perhaps just as much, if not more. I love reading and getting lost in a book and being invested in the characters’ lives, journey and adventure.

So I decided to start this new series on my blog called Booklook where I draw inspiration for outfits from the books I’ve read. I want to do reviews sometime soon, too.

Anyways, I decided to start off this series with an outfit inspiration from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

The whole book has a creepy vibe, not from the story itself, but from the vintage photographs scattered throughout the book. If you want to know the general look and feel of the photos, the cover on the front basically has the same feel and esthetic. Pretty creepy, eh? A majority of the book also takes place during the 1940s, basically around the time of the Second World War.

So when I was putting together the outfit, I was going for a 1940s look, but of course adding a modern twist. One of the female characters wears a white dress, so naturally, I chose a white dress. And to keep with my style, I went with very simple and classic accessories to tie everything together. Overall, I’m very happy with how the outfit turned out!
